My name is Mathias Roth. I was born 1979 in Nuremberg, Germany. Since I was 13, I started to play the bass guitar. My first bass was an Ibanez SR-800, which I played until 1997, when I bought my first Music Man Stingray 4 natural. There is no greater bass, than a Music Man. Afterwards I decided to buy a 5 String and got the Ibanez ATK 305-L quite cheap. For the Jazz parts, I prefer to play my lefty-build Czech Upright Bass. My newest basses are a Music Man Stingray 5 honeyburst and a Michael Kelly Dragonfly III fretted 5 String from the 2006 edition. A really great acoustic bass for lefties, who look for a 5 string!!!

My favourite bassmen are Marcus Miller and Sting.

I play a lot of Funk, Jazz and Pop. I also joined musical projects like Hair or Fame.
