I have played for Bass for 6 years now with many bands of different genres.

I enjoy playing anything with a good groove. I've played for many Funk and Soul outfits, function bands etc. I also play a lot of jazz in Big Bands around Kent, such as The Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra and Invicta Jazz Orchestra. While at University I was also picked to play in their Big Band. I have played many stage musicals in the band pit, including Guys n Dolls, Bugsy Malone, The Wiz, Return to the Forbidden Planet, Fame and RENT.

Influences are mainly Wooten, Pastorius and Miller. I've spend many hours getting the basics of Wootens’ 'Down Up Pluck Pluck' technique sorted. I've got it solid but now working out what to do with it.

My main rig is a David Eden Metro, although I'm looking to trade it in soon for somethingma little more portable! I also use a small Behringer for smaller trio work.

I'm not a great user of pedals, but when I have to use them I have a Boss Octave and Overdrive, as well as the Loop Station. It's good fun when your with a drummer that keeps perfect time, many 'look mummy no hands!' moments! :)
