Carlo Raviola

Bands: THE LAB and GOABAND

LISAGENETICA

Turin / Italy

Carlo Raviola was born in 1975, in a small town near Turin (Italy). He started to play music late, only when he was twenty; before, as he always say to his friends "I really loved music but I preferred to listen songs of others then mine".

He start to study harmony and bass guitar in an important school of north Italy, the "Centro Jazz" of Turin and leather together with important private teacher as Paolo Costa (Battiato, Baglioni, Zero, Finardi….), Franz Bertone e Ferruccio Battaglino.

"I really love to play bass….it's an easy instrument, often put in second place inside a band (isn't true, but guitarists are happy when you say that….); by the way it's my favourite together with drum, that I play a little too. I like to work about sound and dynamic of my instrument, I am not a tecnic of it, I prefere play and create good vibrations with few notes and a warm sound. I listen a little bit of everything, but I think I'm a typical r'n roll bass player".

Carlo has played with a lot of bands in Italy, some of there quite important: ETEREA (Funky) ARKHAM (Hard Rock), DROP OUT (rock covers), ROCK DJ (dance covers), he is professionist from some years and he had also recorded some albums.

Actually he plays with two important cover band of north of Italy, and Italian alternative rock band ("we sing in Italian!") with some albums and tours on active.
